The International Symposium on Architectural Interchanges in Asia (ISAIA) is a biennial international symposium co-sponsored by the Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) together with the Architectural Institute of Korea (AIK) and the Architectural Society of China (ASC). Call for papers |
You are cordially invited to contribute papers to the 5th ISAIA. Please be informed on the following instructions for preparing the manuscript.
- The deadline for submission of paper is February 13, 2004. Please send your paper to the symposium secretariat by e-mail.
- The official language for the paper and presentation is English.
- The length of the paper is recommended in 4 pages of A4-size (210 x 297mm) paper. The maximum length of paper should be limited within 6 pages including spaces, figures, tables, and references.
- All papers will be reviewed and selected by the Scientific Committee of 5th ISAIA. The selected papers will be published in the proceedings and presented at the symposium.
MANUSCRIPT FORMAT GUIDELINES
- Type Area and Layout: Please leave 25mm margin on top and bottom and 20mm margin on left and right sides; the full type area is 170mmX245mm. Type the text in two columns, each measuring 82 mm across, with a blank space 6 mm wide in between. Insert and lay out figures, tables, and their captions in the text.
- Typescript: The manuscript must be typed in English, using Times Roman of 10-point font size. Adjust line spacing to accommodate 59 lines from top to bottom of the type area. Handwritten manuscripts will be rejected. Number all pages starting with the title page. If special characters or accents could not be typed, they may be substituted by alternative key/characters.
- Title page: The first page of the manuscript must contain the paper title, author full name(s), position(s), and affiliation(s), and contact author's name, position, affiliation, address, phone & fax number, and email address. The paper title should be not more than 75 characters long including spaces.
- Abstract and keywords: An abstract and keywords should be included on the title page. The abstract must not exceed 200 words and must precis the paper giving clear conclusions. Keywords of up to five words must be carefully selected to facilitate readers' search.
Authors are encouraged to use the 5th ISAIA manuscript template at the symposium web site for manuscript preparation. The preferred format is MSWord, although other formats such as PageMaker and QuarkXpress are also acceptable. Your manuscript will be re-edited by the publisher, and therefore we strongly recommend that you use the 5th ISAIA template for your manuscript preparation.
